Sarah Krizo is a seasoned fractional CMO and Director of Marketing & Communications with over 15 years of experience in Maine. Her specialty lies in helping small, mission-aligned teams build marketing strategies, messaging, and systems that create sustainable momentum.

Leadership in Independent Schools

From 2021 to 2025, Sarah served as Director of Communications at Gould Academy, following her role as Director of Marketing & Communications at Carrabassett Valley Academy (2019–2021). At CVA, she led successful enrollment and fundraising campaigns and implemented modern martech systems, including a Blackbaud website, enrollment tools, and Raiser’s Edge.

Retail Marketing Roots

Before transitioning into education, Sarah spent 12 years as Marketing Manager at Hammond Lumber Company. There, she managed multiple websites, ran brand campaigns, and led high-impact promotions in a fast-paced retail setting—building the kind of practical marketing foundation that informs her strategic lens today.

Certified Strategy-First Leader

In August 2024, Sarah earned her certification in the Duct Tape Marketing Fractional CMO+ system. This framework equips her with packaged strategy roadmaps, a proven operating system, and an implementation playbook designed to bring order, clarity, and results to every engagement.
